🚲 Budapest – Esztergom & Vác: Self-Guided Danube Bend Adventure

Explore the Danube Bend at your own pace! Take a scenic train ride from Budapest Nyugati Station 🚆 to Esztergom, then hop on your self-guided (e-)bike and discover one of Hungary’s most iconic landscapes. Cycle past riverside villages, hidden beaches, and the baroque town of Vác. Cross briefly into Slovakia before returning along peaceful Danube paths.

See the Basilica of Esztergom and cross the river to Slovakia before following a bicycle way back to Hungary at Chlaba/Ipolydamasd. Follow the bicycle path along the Danube to the charming baroque City of Vác, passing idyllic villages with inviting beaches !

Return from Vác by train to Budapest, Nyugati Railway station (transfer ca. 30min). Expect ca. 50km on the bicycle. Mainly flat area, mainly bicycle ways. Available are trekking bicycles, gravel bicycles and our innovative e-bikes.

🕒 Flexible Schedule:

The tour is only available if booked in advance! We recommend picking the bicycles up from our shop the day before.

• 09:00 – Depart Budapest Nyugati Station by train
• 10:00 – Arrive in Esztergom, prep for your ride
• 11:00 – Begin cycling along the Danube Bend
• 16:30 – Depart Vác by train
• 17:00 – Arrive Budapest Nyugati Station
• 18:00 – Return bikes to Bike & Relax
